IMPATIENT MOON

By Estelle Nora Harwit Amrani, 1984
With a little help from Jim Morrison

Twilight comes the moon ascends - molding, creating,

as all love bends to its eternal magic.

Each of us alive with passion, no abstaining;

we all must dash in

to open lips and arms.

Love me wild, love me strong - hurry, the evening's not too long -

dawn breaks the spell.

Daytime times, I'll disappear -

'till night transforms me again.

Daytime is here and I'm another, so different from the other.

I don't know how, I don't know why,

but it really doesn't seem to matter.

(refrain):

Love fast 'cuz the moon won't last,

take advantage of your time.

Love now and hot, don't think of what's not...

for while it's night, you're mine.
